While this is an exciting time as our facility improvements take more and more shape, we recognize the challenges and inconveniences construction imposes as the project moves forward. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we face these things together as a parish community.
Vestibule Area Closed
Demolition of the vestibule area started Jan. 2nd, and the vestibule will be closed for at least the next 6 weeks. With the vestibule closed, the Main Entrance into the church will not be accessible.
Below is a map of Access to the Church:
CHAPEL ENTRANCE (#1)
This will be the primary entrance, especially for those with mobility concerns. It’s also a good entrance for drop offs. Those coming through the chapel entrance can go through the small hallway into the church or go into the church through the chapel.
REAR ENTRANCE (#2)
This entrance is wheelchair accessible and will also be the door to use to go out to the restrooms.
SIDE ENTRANCE (#3)
A temporary cement walkway will be made to make this door accessible from the parking lot. Due to the temporary nature of the walkway, we are cannot say now if this will be a good entryway for anyone with mobility concerns.
For a short time, the main restrooms will be accessible, but those who need to use the restroom will have two options to get there:
Go outside through the rear exit (#2) down the ramp and back into the building
Go through the Choir Room (will need to use stairs)
LITURGICAL MINISTER CHECK IN
Lectors & Ushers: Check in at the normal spot in the Usher’s/Back Sacristy
Altar Servers, EM’s, & Greeters: Will go to the room behind where the choir sings. This room is closest to the Side Entrance/Exit (#3).
Children are always welcome in the main sanctuary, but for parents who used the vestibule previously, the chapel is an option for you.
