Church Cleaning Mobs (December & March)
A cleaning mob is a morning set aside during the Advent and Lenten Seasons where parishioners are invited to help with various tasks around the church. It could be dusting, pew polishing, organizing, vacuuming or any variety of cleaning tasks to help prepare the church for Christmas and Easter. These are great opportunities for anyone eight years or older. Check the bulletin or listen for announcements during Advent and Lent. Contact: Parish Office

The Day of Service (Spring or Fall)
The day of service is a day set where parishioners sign up to serve in various agencies in and around the the Grandville and Grand Rapids area. The day starts with prayer, breakfast, and then teams go out (or stay in). Since sites and volunteers need to be coordinated, sign ups usually happen 1-2 months before the Day of Service. 4th of July Parade (July)
The annual 4th of July parade is a big event for Grandville and as a parish we offer services for the blind, and we open our doors for those who may need a break from the heat, need to use the bathroom, or are looking for a place to pray. Parishioners are needed to help be at a hospitality table in the church or at the tent. Sign ups are in June. Contact: Rosemary Beahan, Staff

Parish Picnic (September)
The parish picnic happens the 3rd Sunday in September and is always looking for helpers for the kitchen, set up and clean up, games, and welcoming. Shifts are usually 45 minutes long so there's plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the picnic. This is a great opportunity for all ages. Sign ups start the end of August and go until the week before the picnic. Contact: Andy Rebollar, Staff

Book Changeover & Church Clean up (November)
Usually the Friday after Thanksgiving is the time we switch over all of the song books in the church. This means recycling the old books, wiping down the covers, inserting new books, and putting them back in the pews. We start at 10am and go until we're done (usually by 1pm). Funeral Luncheons (Times Needed Depends on Funerals)
As a parish we provide luncheons for families after the funeral of a loved one. This is done primarily through parishioners offering their time to set and clear tables, prepare and serve food, and wash dishes. Funeral luncheon help is usually needed mornings during the week. Contact: Rosemary Beahan, Staff

Funeral Food (Needs vary)
When we have funerals, members of the funeral team are asked to make a side, a salad, or dessert. They are usually prepared and dropped off the night before or the morning of a funeral. Contact: Rosemary Beahan, Staff

Mailers/Bulletin Stuffers (Times & Dates Vary)
Periodically, we need helpers to place inserts into bulletins or help preparing and packing envelopes for parish wide mailings. This work usually happens in the morning during a weekday. Contact: Jane Goudelock, Staff
