IMMACULATE CONCEPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

Mass times ~ Monday, Dec. 8 at Noon & 7pm

Holy Day of Obligation 

Giving Tree...please take a tag(s) for those families who are less fortunate.  The Food Pantry is also collecting food for Christmas baskets and tube socks & reading glasses for the Prison/Jail Ministry (those items can be found at the Dollar Store).

ST. PIUS X WEEKEND INFORMATION

FIRST FRIDAY BREAKFAST:  Join us on Friday (12/5) after the 8:30am Mass in Danner Hall for food and fellowship. 

PARENT'S DAY OUT:  Saturday (12/6) from 12:30-4:30pm

DONUTS WITH ST. NICHOLAS:  Sunday (12/7) after Mass...join the Mom's Group in Danner Hall for coffee and donuts and meet St. Nicholas.

 HIGH SCHOOL LEADERSHIP TEAM will meet on Sunday (12/7) at 11:45am in the Youth Room.

 NET 8TH GRADE RETREAT:  Sunday (12/7) from 5-9pm in Danner Hall.  A group of college aged adults travel around the country giving amazing Confirmation retreats. 

St. Pius X, St. Andrew and Holy Spirit will be joining together for this event!

SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE:  Sunday (12/7) at 7pm in the Youth Room; wear your UGLY sweater and bring a wrapped white elephant gift.

LITURGICAL MINISTER SIGNUPS FOR HOLY DAYS:  There are sign-up sheets in the vestibule (or sign up through Ministry Scheduler) for all Holy Days between now and the end of the year. Please give some of your time as many hands make for light work.  Thank you.

POINSETTIA PICK UP: If you placed an order with the Knights of Columbus for poinsettias, they will be available after all Masses this weekend in Danner Hall.

SPIRITUAL STOCK:  We are sending 75 teens and 14 adults to Catholic Heart Workcamp in the summer of 2015.  We would really love your financial support.  You can purchase Spiritual Stock in our teens for $20 a share.  All shareholders will be invited to a banquet in July to hear firsthand how their investment helped make a difference not only for our youth, but the people they served in Nashville, TN and Farmington Hills, MI.  Contact the Formation Office at 538-2600. 

ST. PIUS X NEXT WEEK (Dec 8 - 12)

YOUNG ADULTS:  will meet on Monday (12/8) in the PC LL #4

CAROLING:  Kids in our elementary program will be caroling at St. Anns, Brookcrest and Rose Garden homes on Dec. 9 & 11...meet in Danner Hall at 5:45pm.

50+ADVENT LUNCHEON:  Anyone 50 and older is invited to our Advent Luncheon on Friday, Dec. 12 in Danner Hall at 11:45am.  The parish will provide the meat, drinks, cake and entertainment.  If possible, please bring a dish to pass.  RSVP to the parish office at 532-9344 by Dec. 10.

ST PIUS X LOOKING AHEAD

NOVEL READERS BOOK CLUB will meet on Monday, Dec. 15 at 7pm in McDuffee.  We will be discussing Defending Jacob by William Landay.  Contact Linda Stray 249-8034 or Mary Boehm at 538-9635 with inquires.

COMMUNAL PENANCE SERVICE will be held on Dec. 16 at 7pm with opportunity for individual confession and absolution.

NATIVITY PROGRAM will be on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 5:30pm.  Doors will open at 5:15pm and students need to arrive at 4:30pm for a final practice.  We will have a cookie social in Danner Hall following the program.  All are welcome!

CAPTURE MY HEART HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS RETREAT will be held at St. Pius X on Dec. 19 & 20. Come experience a weekend of spiritual rejuvenation, sisterhood, and fun!  Registration forms are outside the formation office or register on the Youth Ministry page of the parish website.

A CHRISTMAS CLEANING MOB will be gathering on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 9am to help the church look its best for the Christmas season.  We'll be cleaning, polishing, vacumming, wiping down, and other tasks.  All are welcome...call the parish office at 532-9344 if you can help out.

ALL SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE ALUMNI...you are invited to an SNL Reunion on Saturday, Jan. 3. We will gather at 5:15pm to attend Mass and then gather in the youth room at 6:45pm for dinner and fellowship.  All graduates and post/present core (adult) team members are welcome. CHURCH MEN'S BASKETBALL LEAGUE...players needed!   St. Pius X is looking to see if we can field a team for a local men's fellowship basketball league at the Visser Y.  Games will be Monday nights starting in mid January.  If you're male, 18 or older, and interested in being a part of the team, email Andy Rebollar at arebollar@spxcatholic.org or call 532-9344.  

ST PIUS X MINISTRIES

DONUT TEAM MEMBERS SOUGHT:  The parish is looking to have coffee and donuts more regularly starting in January.  In order to do this, we are seeking a few families or individuals to help out about once a month especially at the 8:30 Mass.  We are looking for friendly people willing to come, set up, serve, and be a welcoming presence.  If this sounds like something you or your family may be interested in contact Andy Rebollar at 532-9344 or parishlife@spcatholic.org.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS NEEDED FOR NURSING HOMES:   This is for current ministers of the Eucharist or we will train new ones; contact Majorie Flores at 532-9344 x106 of mflores@spxcatholic.org

Georgetown/Cambridge after 8:30am Mass the second Sunday of each month beginning in January.

Brookcrest after the 8:30am Mass any time a month has a fifth Sunday and as a substitute for other ministers to call.
