Rejoice! Our Salvation is Near

Posted: December 11, 2015

Christmas is Near and the Year of Mercy is Here

The angle and rotation of the earth makes these the darkest days of the year in our hemisphere.  Painful events in our country and in our own lives add to the gloom in our hearts and remind us how much the world needs a savior.
Yet the message of the readings for the Third Sunday of Advent is "rejoice!" We have a savior, Jesus Christ!  We have a faith that shows us his way of joy in service and sacrifice.
Join us for Mass this weekend as we enter in the Extraordinary Year of Mercy proclaimed by Pope Francis. God's mercy is what we celebrate every Sunday and at the feast of Christmas.
