Fridays ~ 7pm
Wednesday, March 18 ~ 7pm
With a chance for individual reconciliation following the service.

BLOOD PRESSURE READINGS:  after all Masses this weekend in McDuffee.
FIRST COMMUNION RETREAT:  Sunday (3/15) at 11:45am in Danner Hall.  A potluck will be served.  Last names beginning A-O bring a salad/side; P-Z bring a dessert. Thank you!
MIDDLE SCHOOL EDGE:  Sunday (3/15) at 5:30pm..our theme will be chastity.
SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE SOCIAL:  Sunday (3/15) at 7pm...we will gather to hang out in the youth room.  Come sign your name on a brick, play a group or video game, mini sticks, air hockey, etc.  Hope to see you there!
CATHOLIC HEART WORKCAMP FUNDRAISERS UPDATE:  Our teens need your help to get to Nashville, TN and Farmington Hills, MI.  Stop by the Formation Office to buy-a-mile or purchase spiritual stock.  All fundraisers help to offset the cost of camp:

BUY-A-MILE:  394 of 1,342 miles (29% of our goal) have been sponsored to date.  It costs $1 per mile.
SPIRITUAL STOCK:  The team has sold 243 of 375 (65%) of the stocks available for purchase.  Stock can be purchased for $20 a share.  There will be a banquet dinner in the summer after the teens return from their trip for all investors.  

THIS LENT, pray for our elect and candidates who will join the Catholic Church by celebrating the Sacraments of Initiation this Easter.  Please pick up one or several prayer cards from the back of church to remember them in prayer.
EASTER IS ONLY 3 WEEKS AWAY:  Please keep the food pantry in mind when shopping for your Easter dinner.  They are in need of canned fruit, canned pasta, rice, and candy for Easter Baskets.  Special dates to remember at the Pantry:
March 31...filling Easter Baskets at 1pm
April 2...packing food baskets at 1pm
April 3...delivering of food baskets at 9:30am to St. Joseph's (driver needed).
To share some of our good fortune during Lent, we will be asking people to donate craft supplies.  The children in our formation classes will be praying for the children of Haiti, decorating cards, and sending craft bags to Haiti.  We ask that all items be donated by March 22, as we will be filling bags on March 24 at 6pm in Danner Hall.

FILL THE BUS WITH CANS! In April, we will host a pop can-drive to fill the bus with returnable cans!  This is an effort to raise money to support the purchase of a home for Sr. Luvia and her children in Haiti.  We will be collecting cans on Sunday, April 26...so start saving now!

TASTE OF OUR PARISH:  Thursday (3/19) at 7pm in Danner Hall.
50+ THIRD FRIDAY BREAKFAST:  Friday (3/20) at 9:30am at the Russ' in Grandville; contact the Parish Office at 532-9344 to RSVP before Wednesday, March 18.
HIGH SCHOOL RETREAT:  Begins at 5pm on Friday (3/20) and ends at 1pm on Sunday (3/22) at Gull Lake.  Deadline to sign up is Sunday (3/15).
STATIONS OF THE CROSS:  On Friday (3/20) our Stations of the Cross will be led by our Middle Schoolers.  They will also participate in a 24-hour fast for a cure for cancer.  The fast will kick-off on Friday, March 20 with the start of Stations of the Cross and will continue through the 5:30pm Mass on Saturday.  After Mass, we will enjoy a simple meal and discussion together.  We invite all parishioners to join us in our prayer and fasting for a cure for cancer.

NEXT BAPTISM CLASS:  Did you know that Baptisms typically don't occur during the season of Lent?  The next weekend for Baptisms won't be until the Easter season is over.  Our next Baptism Preparation Class is Sunday, March 22 at 1pm in the McDuffee Room.  Contact the parish office at 532-9344 or parishoffice@spxcatholic.org to register.
SHINE NEXT LEVEL HIGH SCHOOL RALLY at 3 Mile Project on March 29 from 3:30-7:30pm, featuring Jackie Francois.  This will include icebreakers, music, keynote and Adoration.  Permission slips are needed and are on the website.
ATTENTION GOLFERS:  There will be a meeting of the St. Pius X Golf League on Monday, April 6 at 7pm in the McDuffee Room.  If anyone is interested, please attend the meeting or call John Merryweather (616-403-6128).  The league will start play on Monday, April 27 and run through Aug. 24.

MINISTERS OF COMMUNION are needed to serve at local nursing homes. Training will be provided for new ministers; please contact Marjorie Flores at 532-9344 x106 or mflores@spxcatholic.org.

 The second Sunday of every month for ministry to Cambridge/Georgetown  Manor.
 Brookcrest the fifth Sunday of the month when applicable.  
 Rose Garden the first and second Sundays of the month. 

FUNERAL FOOD DONATION CALLER is needed to make calls when St. Pius X has a funeral.  Must have a flexible schedule and can make calls on short notice.  Contact Marjorie Flores at 532-9344 or mflores@spxcatholic.org to find out more information on this important ministry.
EASTER RECEPTION HELPERS NEEDED:  We are looking for parishioners willing to help with the Easter Reception for those welcomed into the Church during the Easter Vigil on April 4.  We'd need help during the day with food prep and set up.  Then help following the Vigil with hosting and cleaning up.  It will be a late night, but such a gift to those new to the Catholic Church.  If interested, contact Andy Rebollar at arebollar@spxcatholic.org or call 532-9344.
BREAKFAST WORKERS...Mark your calendars for our next parish breakfast on April 12.  We'd love to have your help whether you're a seasoned breakfast veteran or rookie.  Sign-ups will be available later this month.
