ST. PIUS X WEEKEND INFORMATION
FIRST FRIDAY BREAKFAST: Join us after the 8:30am Mass on Friday (3/6) for food and fellowship in Danner Hall.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS: Friday (3/6) at 7pm.
COFFEE & DONUTS: Grab a fresh donut and coffee after our Sunday Masses; introduce yourself to someone new in our community.
MIDDLE SCHOOL EDGE: Sunday (3/8) at 5:30pm
SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE: Sunday (3/8) at 7pm. Cami Mann will join us for a presentation on the Communion of Saints.
CATHOLIC HEART WORKCAMP FUNDRAISERS UPDATE: Our teens need your help to get to Nashville, TN and Farmington Hills, MI. Stop by the Formation Office to buy-a-mile or purchase spiritual stock. All fundraisers help to offset the cost of camp:
BUY-A-MILE: 361 of 1,342 miles (27% of our goal) have been sponsored to date. It costs $1 per mile.
SPIRITUAL STOCK: The team has sold 234 of 375 (62%) of the stocks available for purchase. Stock can be purchased for $20 a share. There will be a banquet dinner in the summer after the teens return from their trip.
THIS LENT, pray for our elect and candidates who will join the Catholic Church by celebrating the Sacraments of Initiation this Easter. Please pick up one or several prayer cards from the back of church to remember them in prayer.
EASTER IS ONLY 4 WEEKS AWAY: Please keep the food pantry in mind when shopping for your Easter dinner. They are in need of canned fruit, canned pasta, rice, and candy for Easter Baskets. Special dates to remember at the Pantry:
March 31...filling Easter Baskets at 1pm
April 2...packing food baskets at 1pm
April 3...delivering of food baskets at 9:30am to St. Joseph's (driver needed).
ELEMENTARY SERVICE PROJECT ~ Craft Bags for Haiti
To share some of our good fortune during Lent, we will be asking for people to donate craft supplies. The children in our formation classes will be praying for the children of Haiti, decorating cards, and sending craft bags to Haiti. We ask that all items be donated by March 22:
Crayons & Colored Pencils (small packs)
Kid Scissors & Glue or Glue Sticks
Construction or Drawing Paper
Coloring Books or Stickers
START SAVING THOSE CANS! A can-drive will also be held in April to raise money to help support the purchase of the house for Sr. Luvia and the children of Haiti.

HIGH SCHOOL SPRING RETREAT will be at Gull Lake Ministries from March 20-22. We will begin Friday at 5pm and end Sunday at 1pm.
NEXT BAPTISM CLASS: Did you know that Baptisms typically don't occur during the season of Lent? The next weekend for Baptisms won't be until the Easter season is over. SHINE NEXT LEVEL HIGH SCHOOL RALLY at 3 Mile Project on March 29 from 3:30-7:30pm, featuring Jackie Francois. This will include icebreakers, music, keynote and Adoration.
ST PIUS X MINISTRIES
MINISTERS OF COMMUNION needed the second Sunday of every month for ministry to Cambridge/Georgetown Manor and at Brookcrest the fifth Sunday of the month when applicable. FUNERAL FOOD DONATION CALLER is needed to make calls when St. Pius X has a funeral. Must have a flexible schedule and can make calls on short notice. Contact Marjorie Flores at 532-9344 or email@example.com to find out more information on this important ministry.
EASTER RECEPTION HELPERS NEEDED: We are looking for parishioners willing to help with the Easter Reception for those welcomed into the Church during the Easter Vigil on April 4. We'd need help during the day with food prep and set up. Then help following the Vigil with hosting and cleaning up. It will be a late night, but such a gift to those new to the Catholic Church.
