St. Pius X welcomes Bishop Walkowiak and celebrates our patron saint.
Blessing of College Students | Coffee and Rolls

This weekend we welcome Grand Rapids Bishop David Walkowiak to our parish for the first time. He will celebrate the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday and join us for coffee and rolls.
This is Bishop Walkowiak's third summer as our bishop. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, he was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Cleveland in 1979. In his years as a priest, his assignments included ministry as vice chancellor, seminary instructor and pastor. Pope Francis appointed him bishop of Grand Rapids in April 2013. He was ordained a bishop and installed as the 12th bishop of Grand Rapids on his 60th birthday, June 18, 2013.
