Persistent Prayer

Posted: October 14, 2016

God invites us to take a persistent attitude with prayer. "Pray always without becoming weary."  Pray not just for yourself, but for the needs of others.  For what and whom shall I pray today?

Join us in prayer as we celebrate the Eucharist on Saturday at 5:30pm & Sunday at 8:30am & 10:30am.

COFFEE & DONUTS

After both Sunday Masses this weekend...join us in Danner Hall to celebrate our community. Introduce yourself to someone new!

ST. PIUS X HOSTS SPECIAL SAFETY TRAINING

A way the Church seeks to create a wholesome environment for our children is a program called Virtus.  Virtus is Latin for "moral strength, excellence and worth."  Virtus provides training for adults so that locals parishes can be like community-wide safety nets that protect children from exploitation or abuse.

As part of our Faith Formation program, we ask that EVERY parent be certified in Protecting God's Children (Virtus).  This is a one-time class that will better help protect your child/youth. The training session will be held SUNDAY (10/16) AT 5PM IN THE CHURCH.  If you didn't register, please join us...we have moved the session in the church so there will be plenty of room.

RESPECT LIFE

October is Respect Life Month "Moved by Mercy" takes its inspiration from Pope Francis' proclamation of the Year of Mercy.  Please continue to pray and witness to our commitment as Catholics to being "people of life."

40 DAYS OF LIFE

From now until Nov. 6 we are asked to join other Christians for 40 Days of Life.  St. Pius X has committed to be on-site at the abortion clinic in Grand Rapids on Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 7am-7pm.  Sign-up this weekend in the gathering area...the schedule is for one-hour increments.
